moving on over...
This bloggus no work so good. I'm not sure if I'll move everything over completely to the new space, or keep this one just for knitting. For now, have a gander at the Growing a Critter site!

how NOT to be charming
Ick. I just got back from the grocery store and saw the most *charming* t-shirt I've ever seen. Not that I was looking too fresh myself, but still! Anyway, a mid-to-late 20s guy was walking through the aisles and I pretty much did a double take when I saw his t-shirt, which read:
I may not be Mr. Perfect
but I'll F* you
until he shows up
Nice.

Knitting content to return soon!
Hooray! I got my invitation to Ravelry today and I'll soon be using up the wee bits of spare time that I have (between work and Critter preparation) to upload pictures, projects, yarn and fun stuff to my new page. Very excited! I'm NataCritters over there, so if you're on Ravelry, please stop by and say hello! (Comments are still disabled on this-here blog).
I just got back from a long weekend with the family in Georgia, where I met my new nephew, the Mooselet, celebrated my Mom's birthday, had a baby shower, and celebrated Father's Day. Whew! It was a great time, but not so much relaxing. I tried out my sister's ring sling with the Mooselet, and it was pretty durn cool. Also, he peed on me. I look at it as a test run. Pictures to be posted soon!

TV mates
So, if you know me, you know I have a tendency to have a "tv boyfriend" at all times. Sometimes this is a cyclist (Tyler, Voeckler, Z-Man, etc.), but usually it's an actor on a favorite TV show.
As it turns out, BOTH of my current/recent TV boyfriends have been in DC within the past week. First, John Krasinski (Jim on The Office) was here for a Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) show at the 9:30 club on Thursday - he even jumped up on the stage and strummed a few lines of a song. But today, the WaPo tells me that Bradley Whitford (West Wing, Studio 60) was here, too! What's a girl got to do to meet her TV boyfriends?!?! Oh yeah, this (scroll down). Heh.
Also, I've updated the Growing a Critter blog with a photo-heavy post. Comments are off for all Wordherders blogs right now - possible shift to come.
