Well, I was going to write an entry about lazy, hazy (read: Code Red = free bus rides) days of summer, but then I decided that I needed to look up the spelling of lackadaisical. Like other people who spend too much time at a computer during the day, I typed the word into Google and I found not only that I had spelled "lackadaisical" correctly, but I found this really lovely website of photos throughout two years. 2003 is organized according to month, while 2002 groups photos by theme. Biologist that I am, my favorite of the 2002 photos is this one of a black-and-white colobus as gazed at through the glass.
I just love these guys. While adults are - obviously - black and white, babies are born snow white and only later grow in their black fur. So the babies look like these strange mutant creatures clinging to their mothers. Here's a baby photo.
