I'm headed out to the airport in just a few minutes to go to a Conference in Columbus. [Side note: every time I mention to my Southern mother that I'm going there, she says, "Columbus...Ohio?" Yes, Mom, not Columbus, Georgia. She did the same thing when I visited a friend in Cleveland a few years back. No, not Cleveland, Tennessee, Mom.] I'll be giving three presentations over the next couple of days on my enormous education project and I'm really looking forward to handing these packages out. Whoo hoo! Have a great weekend, everyon!

Posted by: melisa at September 16, 2003 7:29 PMSorry - I don't think I've had the moon-dusted potatoes, but that sounds like a really lovely description. I'm guessing it has something to do with butter!
My Columbus trip went really well, with great praise given to this education project that I've been working on for 2 years with about 25 volunteers. Hooray! I saw very little of Columbus itself, but a whole lot of the Convention Center. The foodie highlight was called the "North Market" which is right behind the Convention Center and offers a lovely variety of yumminess for lunch, including indian and sushi. Score!

natalie, you seem to have been an intimate of the Flying Biscuit http://chutry.wordherders.net/archives/000805.html
Can you enlighten me as to what "moon-dusted potatoes" may be?
much appreciated.

Posted by: Ryan at September 7, 2003 12:25 PMTwo things: Firstly, Columbus Rocks! It is my hometown. It is bigger and more important than Cleveland, and I resent having to say Columbus OHIO all the time. Secondly, they have a really nice zoo. I hope you go. I went to the National Zoo yesterday, and it is a crying shame. But the Golden Lion Tamarins were cute.
